It can all be so overwhelming when we are dealing with everything in our day to day lives.


Guided meditations are helpful when we are discovering how to deal with new, uncertain or difficult times in our lives. My meditations are all designed with this in mind.

I get it. I have heard all of the arguments against meditation. I have even been the one saying that meditating was impossible!

#1 It is too hard! It is something that monks do in caves. We need to completely stop our thoughts and empty our brains, right?

#2 I don’t have time.

#3 I tried it. It doesn’t work for me. I can’t do it.

Here is what I have discovered,

  • Meditation is not about stopping our thoughts. It is instead about giving yourself a break from all that is happening in your external world.

  • It can be done in a very short time period. In fact, the simple act of taking three deep breaths is a form of meditation.

  • There are so many kinds of meditation. Keep going until you find one (or a variety) that work(s) for you.

  • Be curious. Be open. Stop the limiting beliefs. I am sure there are things you thought you would never be able to do five years ago, and today, you do them with ease.

  • It is so easy to give up and say that meditation doesn’t work for you.

  • It is also just as easy to follow the inner pull to keep going. There is something inside you that knows this is good for you.

Personally, before beginning a regular meditation practice, I dealt with unresolved grief which led to a ton of anxiety and uncertainty. I had difficulty sleeping and my thoughts were often on a never ending loop in my head. I knew that I needed to find something that would help me to find a way forward with more peace and calm.


A consistent meditation practice impacts your life and ultimately your health - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.


The benefits are many and may include the following,

Hi! I am Laurie Parente.

I am an Intuitive Guide, Medium, Energetic Healer and Spiritual Mentor with a degree in psychology and a history in grief work.

Before I truly steeped into my gifts, I was hiding them in the closet. I was working and raising a family and doing everything I could to block out my authentic self.

I was always in service to others and I believed that putting other people first was may making priority.

Then as always, life happened. I experienced three major losses in a six week period. This caused me to truly sit with myself and discover that I needed to change the way I was showing up for myself.

After dealing with months of crippling anxiety, I found guided meditation. It was the gateway I needed to find my inner authority and eventually to establish a daily meditation practice.

A regular meditation practice can make a huge difference in life.

When you prepare to meditate, please ensure that you have the time and space to listen without interruption. I also recommend reserving time for after you meditate to journal your thoughts and feelings.

**Meditation should be practiced in a quiet place where your can concentrate on your practice. Never meditate while driving, operating machinery or when you are not able to give your full attention to the practice.
